Awards granted to the SteraMist™ device in the battle against the Ebola virus
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) awarded the TOMI global company a prize for the binary ionization technology (BIT) in the SteraMistTM disinfection device as part of the global battle to eradicate the Ebola virus and for its contribution to the U.S. health system. In addition, the technology won an award in the “improvement of the medical safety of medical staff and employees in medical institutions” category for disinfection of rooms and high reduction of resistant pathogens and bacteria in hospitals without the use of hazardous chemicals.
